About us

Nice to meet you

Hey everybody! My name is Michael Schiavo and it’s great to meet you.

I am twenty-six, live in Goochland, VA, and am an alumni of Regent University with a degree in Biblical Studies and Theology.

I was born with a rare neuromuscular disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and use a power wheelchair. It has made life difficult at times but my faith in Christ has given me the strength to persevere. My disability has given me an interesting Christian experience and has taught me several life lessons. Through this platform, I hope to share these experiences with you.

Upcoming projects

I have a couple of projects in the works at the moment and would love to share them with you!

First, I am writing poetry to send to both Christian and secular literary journals with the hope of getting published.

Second, I am currently working on two novels at the moment. The first is a daily devotional to encourage people in their faith. The second is about the life lessons Duchenne has taught me.

Finally, I am taking time to grow in my theological knowledge by studying authors like John Calvin, St. Thomas Aqunias, and Karl Barth.
